The RW-4 line of undergarments are designed to provide both comfort and protection. The RW-4 features a soft-touch interlock fabric. Then RW-4 includes long-sleeved undershirts, long underpants, a hood with a single opening and mid-calf socks. The hoods are one size fits all; undershirts and underpants are available in sizes Small through XX-Large. The RW-4 undershirts and underpants are regular fit. The Sparco Pit Stop shoe was designed specifically for pit crew use but it can also be used for racing where a durable and thicker sole is preferred such as off-road. The Pit Stop shoe is SFI approved for racing or “over the wall” crew use. The Pit Stop has a suede upper with a perforated tongue and heel for added breathability and it has leather panels on the toe box and heel for extra durability.
The anti-static, fuel- and oil-resistant rubber sole was designed for maximum grip, with a toe cap designed to protect the toe area when in the kneeling position. Internal lace system to help protect from snagging. The Pit Stop has an extra padded collar area with a Velcro closure which gives extra support. Since 2019, the most stringent FIA 8860-2018-ABP (Advanced Ballistic Protection) helmet standard has been in effect for Formula 1. This latest standard builds frontal penetration protection into the helmet shell. The new FIA standard drove Stilo engineers to design and develop the Stilo ST5 FIA8860-2018ABP, along with this new shield design. While looking very similar to the standard Stilo ST5 visor, there is a slight shape difference.
(The Zylon strip used prior to the FIA 8860-2019 ABP standard is available for use on other Stilo ST5 helmets. It must be purchased with a new ST5 visor and built by Stilo. It can not be installed by the end user.)
