The 991.2 Turbos don't substantially benefit from any one particular upgrade, but the sum of IPD's improvements in the intake tract deliver a superior overall 991.2 Turbo/Turbo S compared to the already impressive stock car.
Porsche made a number of substantial upgrades to the 991.2 Turbo engine, including revised intake ports, larger injectors, a higher-volume fuel pump, larger turbo compressor wheels and more efficient intercoolers. But the factory intake system remained relatively unchanged from the 991.1, giving IPD a window of opportunity to upgrade and improve it.
The IPD 991.2 Turbo Competition Plenum delivers excellent engine power and torque gains that raise the performance of the already potent supercar (as well as the hair on the back of your neck). Horsepower gains are made throughout the power band, with the bulk being realized between 3500-5000 RPM. Max gain of 45 wheel horsepower come at 4300 RPM and hold strong all the way to redline. Torque is even more impressive at 60 lbs-ft. in the midrange with a massive torque gains from 3500-5000 RPM.
When combined with the IPD 991.2 Turbo Y-Pipe, available in the drop-down above, gains jump to 70 lbs-ft. of torque and 50 wheel horsepower!

Ballistic acceleration and a top speed of over 200 mph places the 991.2 Turbo in a very elite class of supercars. But of course the IPD Y-Pipe (and Plenum) raise the performance bar even higher for Porsche driving enthusiasts who seek fighter jet performance from their German Turbo missiles.
Bigger is not always better when it comes to forced induction applications. While the IPD Y-Pipe is considerably larger than the factory, it's not large enough to cause pressure drop within the intake tract which would result in turbo lag and reduced performance. Utilizing “non-round” runners, an optimized merge collector area, and IPD's proven dimpled interior surfacing, this optimized design delivers a greater volume of air, improved laminar flow and increased air velocity. These improvements deliver an additional 40 horsepower, 50 lbs-ft. of torque, improved boost response, and more linear power and torque curves.
The 991.2 Turbo Y-Pipe is a direct bolt-on engine upgrade that requires no modifications, but should be performed by an experienced Porsche technician familiar with the 991 platform. The IPD Y-Pipe comes with all the hardware necessary to complete the installation.

The MXG shows you the data you want, the way you want in brilliant, high-contrast color.
The MXG 1.2 is a large, brilliant dashlogger designed to acquire and display data coming from your ECU, an internal accelerometer and gyro, the included GPS08 Module, analog/digital inputs and pre-defined math channels. Performance data acquired can be expanded by adding up to eight expansion modules (sold separately). The large 7" high-color display makes it perfect for installation in wider cockpits (like in touring and GT cars).
CONFIGURABLE PAGES
You can define all the custom pages you wish, choosing from a large library of page styles and colors, defining which data you want to see and where (including end of scale and units of measure). Swapping between pages is as easy as pushing one or two buttons!
INPUT/OUTPUT FLEXIBILITY
Eight fully configurable analog input channels can sample, log, and display a wide range of temperatures, pressures, and potentiometers (throttle position, steering wheel position, etc). CAN Inputs allow you to further expand the dash by adding an almost limitless number of AiM CAN Data Hubs (Part No. MC-329, sold separately). These hubs let you connect other inputs such as Lambda Controller (O2), SmartyCam, or even channel expansion hubs, without using any analog channels. A separate CAN Output allows you to send messages to the existing CAN network, adding to the vehicle system control possibilities!
The MXG 1.2 can also be connected to many different ECUs to log data gathered by each ECU. An internal three-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer; GPS08 input; four wheel-speed channels; lap time receiver input; and two digital outputs add up to a flexible, expandable data logger that can grow with you. It even has a screw-in port to add analog cameras used for back-up or rear view in visibility-challenged race cars!
ALARMS & SHIFT LIGHTS
Flexible alarms on the MXG 1.2 include six configurable RGB alarm LEDs: you choose the conditions, you choose the colors. Select a solid alarm or flashing one - and the flashing frequency, choose to have an accompanying text message, and set the alarm priorities.
The integrated shift light array features a host of advanced multicoloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customized as you like, including RPM max for each individual gear.
DIGITAL OUTPUTS
The MXG 1.2 features two digital outputs (low-side type, switch to ground) that can be configured to activate/deactivate external systems (switch on/off additionallights, cooling fan relays, fluid circulation pumps, etc.) based on those inputs.

MXS 1.3 Strada is a beautifully-designed, feature-rich color digital dash display. It is basically the MXS 1.3 without the datalogging function. The MXS 1.3 Strada features a compact 5" High Contrast TFT color screen with great visual impact, configurable to show lap times, RPM, and a huge range of info coming from your Engine Control Unit, analog/digital inputs, pre-defined math channels and an optional GPS08 Module. Programmable multicolor shift and alarm LEDs round out an incredibly powerful package. There's even a version with "Street Icon" LEDs instead of the traditional "plain" LEDs!
The MXS 1.3 Strada displays your RPM, selected gear, speed, plus all the data you choose (water temp, oil pressure, trans temp, lap times and much more) in either pre-configured or user-customized pages. Swapping between pages is as easy as pushing buttons. Plus the MXS 1.3 Strada puts a huge amount of control over your car's systems at your fingertips.
INPUT & OUTPUT FLEXIBILITY

IPD helps scratch the proverbial performance itch for Porsche drivers looking to elevate the already visceral driving experience to the next level.
The 3.4L engine in the 991 is relatively unchanged from the previous 997.2 Carrera. It continues to employ the 82mm throttle body just like the Carrera before it. IPD's new specifically-designed 3.4L DFI Carrera intake plenum is a direct bolt-on upgrade that replaces the factory air distributor and utilizes all pre-existing factory hardware including the OE factory throttle body.
INCREASED POWER & TORQUE ACROSS THE REV RANGE
The improved IPD intake design creates increased air velocity and air speed resulting in impressive power and torque gains of 15 HP and 14 lbs-ft. at the wheels on an otherwise-stock 991. As with most IPD plenums, the bulk of the power gains are realized in the mid-range where they are most used and enjoyed. The patented IPD Plenum design unlocks power and torque increases over factory power curves from launch to redline. Maximum power increases take place in the midrange where they're most needed and most critical. The 997 Turbo ECU requires an adaptation period through either a series of hard pulls on the dyno or 10 to 50 miles of hard driving (on a closed-circuit or race track).
Turbo customers looking to increase engine power and torque without pushing the motorsport envelope to redline would best benefit from the 74mm IPD Turbo Plenum. This version of the plenum uses the factory 74mm throttle body and delivers impressive performance gains for both stock and slightly modified Turbos with exhaust and software. To push beyond these performance mods, we recommend upgrading to the larger IPD Intake Plenum for 82mm Throttle Body .

The GiroDisc replacement rotor system is a direct rotor disc replacement for the Giro Disc 2-piece hat and rotor and no modifications are necessary.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement to minimize replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.
